The Phlebotomy Technician program is a six-week course that includes theory and practical training. We have the facilities, equipment, and instructors with excellent qualifications that will help you become an excellent phlebotomist. This programs objective is to prepare the student to be able to obtain an adequate and correct blood specimen with venipuncture techniques, classify laboratory tubes, preparing blood smears, and urinalysis while maintaining the integrity of the specimens in relations to the test to be performed and labeling specimens accurately and completely. After the completion of their program students will take the National Health-career Association (NHA) exam that will certify the student as a licensed phlebotomist.
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age. (if the applicant is under 18 years of age the student enrollment agreement must be sign by his or her parent or guardian).
Course requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Identification Card
Social Security Card
TB screen test (dated within the last 12 months prior to starting course)
