The EKG Technician program is a six-week program that prepares students through the concepts and ideas behind understanding and reading EKG's. Including cardiac anatomy and physiology, the EKG machine, patient preparation, and EKG Interpretation, students will learn about different cardiopathies and ailments of the heart, how to interpret strips and identify the situation. Upon completion of the coursework students will take the National Health career Association exam and become a licensed EKG Technician,
Applicants must be 17 years of age. (if the applicant is under 18 years of age the student enrollment agreement must be sign by his or her parent or guardian.
Course requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Identification Card
Social Security Card
TB screen test (dated within the last 12 months prior to starting course)
